meet John.

John Tretheway is a life and business coach 100% committed to helping people live the life they really want. During his 30+ years as a coach and trainer, John has worked with executives, small business owners, entrepreneurs, writers, actors, musicians, stay at home parents, college and high school students, high school, college, and professional athletes, teams, children with special needs, coaches, teachers, doctors, and even an astronaut. The one common element shared by his clients is that they are people, and deep down, people all share the same fears, insecurities, and doubts that hold us back.

Coaching is a profession of love. You can’t coach people unless you love them.
— Eddie Robinson

John has attended some of the most highly respected coaching schools, forums, and experiences in the country. He’s graduated from Landmark Education, Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica; Steve Chandler’s ACS, Carolyn Freyer Jone’s Business of Coaching school and has invested in a four year apprenticeship under a world renowned coach. John has studied the likes of Byron Katie, George Pransky, Nancy Kline, and numerous other workshops including 5 decades of the curriculum of life. Over the last 30+ years, he has focused his time and energy on discovering new paths and modalities of learning and growth regarding the human condition and specifically on enhancing the quality of life.

John was born and raised in sunny Southern California and enjoys the fresh, warm, creative energy that the area is known for. After graduating college, he began his work life by helping others reach their fitness and wellness goals as the Director of Personal Training at Paramount Studios. There, he learned what responsibility entailed during his role as sole creator of all programs for much of the leading talent in the entertainment industry. In 1989, he struck out solo by forming his own company, and he never looked back. With a 40 year history as a competitive athlete in multiple sports as well as 15 years coaching teams and athletes, John understands what resilience, courage and commitment looks like in real life. Along the way, John spent 12 years as Director of Fitness and Mentoring at a school for special needs youth while continuing to work with others to achieve what they never thought possible. Coaching is an integral part of his life.

He is a devoted father of two grown children and remains steadfastly curious and enthused about the riches life has to offer…if we only open ourselves up to receiving.

Life is the greatest teacher of all, and the numerous failures and successes along the way are his most valuable assets to share.

John...your clients are very fortunate to sit in your presence, and thank you for that
